³ Go to the king and tell him whatever I tell you to say.” Then Joab put the words in her mouth.

⁴ The woman from Tekoa spoke to the king. She fell down with her face to the ground. She bowed down and said, “Help me, O King.”

⁵ The king said to her, “What is wrong?”

She said, “It’s terrible. I am a widow. My husband is dead.
